Best Things to Do in Belgium
I decided to attend the biggest festival in the world: Tomorrowland, in Boom a small town in Belgium.Taking advantage of the trip I also spent a few days in Brussels, the capital of Belgium.
Belgium is located in the north-west and center of Europe bordering the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg and France. Its capital Brussels is right in the center of the country, being very easily accessible by train from Paris or Amsterdam.
In the vast majority of Belgium and mainly in Brussels, both Dutch and French are spoken. The currency used is the Euro and is also the European Union's cede.
Brussels is a large city but easy to travel by train or metro, the city is divided into north, center and south.
In the center area is the Grand Place or Plaza Grande which has very old buildings with an impressive architecture and gold details that make the place one of the main attractions of the city.
Also celebrated in this place is the famous Flower Folk Festival in mid-August.
Around this square and throughout the center of Brussels you will find beautiful cobbled streets with many old buildings and churches so we recommend walking around.
In the northern part of Brussels is another well-known attraction called the Atom, this is a monument that is located at one of the entrances to the park Ossegempark and is a very visited place for photographs.
In addition to the visual attractions of the city, we must admit that one of the main reasons to visit Belgium and Brussels are their beers, and one place you should not miss is Delirium Café.
Delirium is one of the most famous bars in the world, the bar is 3 floors and they have many craft beers with a lot of alcohol, of which the most famous is imported worldwide.
As for food the typical dish is Moules et Frites or mussels with chips and you can find it in various restaurants in the city with several mainly white sauces.
And of course you should not miss out trying other local beers like Duvel, and also the cherry flavor beers.
Here is a video from a drone of what is Brussels so you can better appreciate this beautiful city.
Unfortunately I could not include the city of Bruges on this trip but definitely should not miss visiting it.
We left the west and center of Europe to now go to Berlin in Germany.
Until the next time!
