Best Things to Do in Croatia
After a few days in Venice I have crossed by train and ferry to Croatia to enjoy some of the most beautiful beaches and islands in Europe on the Adriatic Sea, which makes of Croatia a holiday paradise anda favorite destination for sailing on yacht.
My first destination was Novalja a small village on the island of Pag.
Novalja is by itself one of many picturesque towns in Croatia with access to beautiful beaches and beautiful views, but it is also the place that hosts a large number of young people looking for intense party in Zrće Beach, a beach that is 5km from Novalja.
Zrće Beach is defined by many as the Ibiza of Croatia or very similar to Cancun since it has several open clubs during the day, which I consider to be the best pool parties of the world and also nightclubs at night with famous DJs and artists throughout the European summer.
If you really like partying, this is a destination you should not miss.
On the same island of Pag is the village of Pag on a piece of land that joins two islands, this part has some of the most beautiful views to travel by car or motorcycle.
My next destination by bus from Novalja is the city of Split.
Split is the second most populated city in Croatia after the capital Zagreb and is located around an ancient Roman palace with impressive architecture for what is considered world heritage.
The old city of Split has a fascinating architecture, getting lost in its streets and enjoying a dinner in this place is my biggest recommendation.
The main reason for my visit to split has been to enjoy ULTRA Europe which is one of the best electronic music festivals in Europe and in the world. Soon I will share this review with my friends of Rockactivist.com
From Split I decided to spend a day on the island of Braç, which is an hour by ferry and has the most famous beach in the Adriatic for its unique triangle shape and called Zlatni Rat. In addition to swimming on its turquoise blue beaches is a good place for windsurfing.
After Braç I have visited Hvar Island which also has beautiful beaches and some of the best beach clubs in the area. In Hvar is also an old Spanish castle with a sight not to be missed.
Finally, if you are big fan of Game of Thrones, Croatia is one of the most used destinations in their filming and especially the city of Dubrovnik that is Kings Landing in the series.
Remember if you want to visit a place with beautiful beaches (not sand but stone), lots of party and breathtaking views: Croatia should be your next destination.
