Best Things to Do in Corfu
Corfu is a Greek island that is very close to the border with Albania in the Ionian Sea.
Corfu is not as famous as the Greek islands of the Cyclades (Mykonos or Santorini), but it remains one of the favorite islands for summer vacations of many Europeans from England, Holland and the Nordic countries thanks to Its beautiful crystalline beaches.
The ancient city of Corfu is now a World Heritage Site as it has a great history and many old buildings dating back to Roman times.
Although the ancient city of Corfu is a destination you should not miss, it is the beautiful beaches that make tourism the main activity on the island and I will give you my recommendations.
Kavos: this has become a favorite destination on the island for young people from the UK, Kavos is a small village that every summer is transformed with thousands of young people looking for parties without control and easy sex. There is the series "What happens in Kavos" which has made this place a favorite destination for party lovers.
Pink Palace (Agios Gordios): I must admit, the main reason for my visit to Corfu was to meet one of the top 5 party hostels or top 5 hostels in the world called Pink Palace which is located in the bay of Agios Gordios.
Pink Palace is famous for its pink greek toga parties and the hedonism that is lived in its facilities, but the review of the place will be shared in another post about the Top 5 Party Hostels in the world.
The beach of Agios Gordios is popular because it is very pleasant and of great extension, it also has small beaches bordering that are used as a nudist beach.
Porto Timoni Beach: This is undoubtedly the most beautiful beach on the island of Corfu and you will need to take a long walk or use all-terrain motorcycles to access it but the view and beaches are worth it.
Paleokastritsa: This is a set of bays that for many have the most crystalline water in Corfu, certainly swimming and taking pictures of low water is a must in these beaches.
Cape Drastis: this is a set of cliffs with a great beauty although the only bad thing is that it is very dangerous to swim, but the views are magnificent in this place.
My last recommendation is to make any cruise that goes to the less accessible beaches and lagoons of the island to enjoy the natural beauty and peace of this island.
You will need several days and a car to know all these places since the island is very extensive, but certainly Corfu is for something a beach destination that has not stopped wondering for many years.
I say goodbye to Greece not without a video in 4k of Corfu and now I travel to Poland!
